Tyler Elroy Jetson was born in 1986 to parents Karen & Montague of Orange County, California. He was captain of his high school baseball team, earning a scholarship to play for the Longhorns. His senior year they won the Big 12 Tournament but lost in the College World Series to the LSU Tigers, 11-4. As a life long Astros fan, Ty jumped at a job offer from ExxonMobil as an economist at their corporate campus in Houston.

Samantha Rose McCarthy grew up on the north shore of Chicago during the Michael Jordan Bulls dynasty. She was inspired to 'be like Mike' and developed a passion for all things aviation from an early age. A bright student and skilled mathematician, she went on to earn her PhD in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University. In 2017, Rosie accepted a prestigious fellowship at NASA's Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center.

Ty and Rosie matched on Hinge over the summer and by November 2017 the Astros were MLB champions - she was always his good luck charm! On New Year's 2020, he proposed and soon #RosieTysTheKnot was a frequent hashtag on the couple's Instagram posts. By March the COVID-19 global pandemic had forced the whole world into lock down. For Christmas 2021, they announced to family that they were pregnant.

Just a few days after George's birth, Rosie hears from a colleague that NASA Administrator, Bill Nelson, attended a White House Summit on Advanced Air Mobility where they applauded her team's work in flight safety for autonomous operations.

Ty is astounded by a recent economic report explaining that those new electric aircraft 'eVTOLs' are projected to exceed $23 billion in global value by the time baby George goes to 1st grade. He wonders if ExxonMobil is keeping pace with the energy transition?

Karen, Ty's mother, calls to check-in on the new parents. She shares that there in California a ban on sale of new gasoline cars will go into effect by 2035. "I know that's not good for your industry dear, but I like that it'll mean cleaner air for my grand baby," she remarks.

Rosie's sister leaves a voicemail for her: "Hey Rose, just wanted to say hi to my baby nephew! Apparently they're talking about air taxis coming to Chicago. Is that the stuff you've been working on?" Baby George smiles when he hears her voice.

"Yea, the FAA just released guidelines for the infrastructure needed for the flying cars. Infrastructure is one of the safest investments you can make, Ty!" Montague's brother, Ty's uncle, keeps up on current events in the tech and can't help but give financial advice.

"Oh check it out, Ty!" Rosie exclaims, "Here's the new Gen 6: the world's first self-flying, all-electric, vertical takeoff and landing aircraft."

"I'm sure proud of you." Ty says in a whisper while rocking the baby to sleep, "And Georgie is proud of his mama too."

Rosie's father-in-law, Montague, sends her a text: "Looks like we're getting our own sky bus service through Delta at LAX. This 70 year old has still got a bit of adventure left in him if these things really are as safe as you say!"

The Jetsons are visited by their neighbors with a homemade casserole. "Sure glad you and baby are doing well. You probably already heard but President Biden just passed a law on your Advanced Air Mobility."

Baby George's first Halloween! Rosie dresses him in costume as a brave eVTOL test pilot. Soon Rosie will have to come off maternity leave at NASA so she's enjoying these special moments with her little guy.

Houston Astros win another World Series! Ty is over the moon! Baby George mimics his father's clapping and babbles along with the stadium announcers while mom catches up on much needed rest.

Ty's uncle emails over a press release he came across: 'Eve agrees with Volatus Infrastructure to support vertiport automation.' The body of the message reads, "See, now this is cool! That's the kind of collaboration we need."

It's Christmas time for the Jetson household and lots to be grateful for. Rosie just returned from a work trip to Virginia for eVTOL crashworthiness testing and her associate Justin Littell said it was a great success.
